I love House M.D. I think it's one of the best medical shows ever made. There's a lot of good humor and some deeper themes throughout. I think this would be a good LEGO set because there's a lot of opportunities for play or display. The open walls allow visibility to different scenes and the character diversity allows for a good playing experience.
I made sure to include a lot of different easter eggs from the show, especially from funny moments. The set includes five different rooms.
House's Office
I put in his favorite red ball on the desk for when he's struggling with a tough case and his reclining chair in the corner. His pet rat is chilling on the bookshelf under the lightboard. There's also some X-rays and a record player so he can listen to music while ignoring people. His ID card is also under his chair as a reference to when he leaves the hospital for good at the end of the show and Foreman finds it. You may also notice the chicken from the bet between House and Wilson to see who can hide a chicken in the hospital for the longest.
Diagnostician Room
The second room is the diagnostician room with the main table and the whiteboard. Lupus is written down since
maybe
it will actually be lupus this time (it won't). The blinds have "Lymphoma ta da" written on them as a reference to the episode where House tries to figure out the case before his team and then show them how cool he is. The shelves include some cool little decorations like a set of mini lungs and a skull. The far wall even opens like it does in the show. House is only one click of a button away from annoying Wilson.
Wilson's Office
Wilson's office is pretty small, but effective. He has a desk for patient (and House) consultations and a couch by the window, under which he hides House's guitar. There's a door opening up to a balcony where Wilson and House can judge people who don't meet their standards.
Cuddy's Office
This room is mostly filled with furniture. Cuddy needs a lot of spots to sit with the amount of headaches House gives her. She also has her desk (wait- is that the one from med school?!) and her own personal toilet. Really is too bad that House got mad and smashed the toilet. You might even find evidence- he left the hammer behind.
The Hallway
Everyone who has watched House remembers the cool first hallway scene: House walking front and center and Cameron to his side trying to convince him that she's right. There's also a vending machine where a lot of House's friends wound up having to buy him food. I don't think he ever paid them back. The hallway also connects to the main desk where House goes to pick up patient files. Maybe there'll be a interesting one.
The Patient Room
This room is just a basic hospital room. It has a bed, couch, and monitors. However, a lot of stuff goes down in patient rooms. Who knows, maybe it will be Wilson's girlfriend in there next. That would be awkward.
The People and the Parts
I used about 2000 pieces and included 10 minifigures: House, Wilson, Cuddy, Amber, Thirteen, Taub, Chase, Cameron, Foreman, and Kutner. I couldn't decide which patient to include, so I chose Amber. Her incident with House and the bus is one of the most important moments on the show because it really demonstrates House's and Wilson's personalities.
I had a lot of fun designing this set! If you like it, please put in your vote!
