The Idea

This is my build based on SpongBob SquarePants, which premiered on July 17, 1999 and is one of my favorites TV animated series. Includes 7 characters: SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Gary, a jellyfish, Mermaid Man, and Barnacle Boy. The set has three houses: Spongebob’s (includes the living room and his bedroom), Squidward’s (with his living room, bedroom and art room) and Patrick’s (it has his living room). The set also includes some other builds like the Patty Wagon and Spongebob’s Bubbles stand. This build contains 1919 pieces and is full with references to the series and the movie, can you find them all?

Why I built it?

I always wanted to have the iconic pineapple house but never got the chance to buy it, therefore I wanted to built it myself; I started building on Studio 2.0 and while at it I decided to do Patrick and Squidward's houses too. On the process I realised I could uploaded to LEGO Ideas.

Why it would make for a great set?

Because this is one of the most famous and iconic cartoons worldwide; this set could appeal to SpongeBob fans, cartoon fans and old LEGO fans who grow up with the original sets.
