Bring this iconic scene to life on the walls of your home!

Lunch atop a Skyscraper is a very famous picture taken in 1932 by the American photographer Charles C. Ebbets during the construction of a building in New York. The photo shows eleven men who are having lunch on a steel beam at a height of 260 meters (850 feet) above the ground. The surprising thing about this picture is that it’s real! Another interesting fact is that, until 2003, the author of the photo was not recognized.

I also have a reproduction of this photo in my room and I think this Lunch atop a Skyscraper set would be a really cool piece of decor for homes and offices.

As you can see, it is a fairly flat set, which does not protrude much, just like the latest sets of paintings and artistic compositions produced by LEGO. However, I decided to use building techniques and pieces that can still make a fairly 3D view. This way, it seems that the beam supporting the minifigures is suspended in the air. The background is made both of already available pieces and parts with stickers designed by me. For example, I used keyboards or remote controls bricks as background buildings.

This set can also be hung using the slot on the back.
