Introduction

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the second book in Suzanne Collins' trilogy. As part of the Capitol's plan to reassert control, Katniss and Peeta are drawn into the 75th Hunger Games, also known as the Quarter Quell. Ultimately, Katniss and a handful of allies escape the arena, which sparks the rebellion.

Project

This product idea focuses on the arena of the 75th Hunger Games. It resembles a clock-like structure divided into 12 sections representing all 12 districts. The model includes a beach section, Monkey Mutts, Mockingjays, coconuts, fish, loot, various plants and palm trees. The project also features a Hovercraft and the Cornucopia, which forms the centerpiece of the arena. Furthermore, it includes 7 Minifigures:

The golden Mockingjay is a central symbol throughout all Hunger Games books and movies. If you remove the plants and the Cornucopia, you can turn the arena to display one of three Mockingjay configurations. The builds are based on the posters of the first to third movies and can be hung on the wall.

Motivation

I created the project because this iconic structure makes a perfect Lego set and I'm a fan of the Hunger Games books and movies. The Hunger Games franchise has a huge and dedicated community. I tried to incorporate some of their feedback to create the perfect Hunger Games Lego Set. Therefore, I updated the project accordingly.
